I say this with honesty and humility: one of the greatest joys as editor of SciFiHistory.Net is getting the chance to meet, know, and collaborate with the growing number of movers and shakers across the wide, wide Information Superhighway. There's a lot of traffic out there, so it's necessary to sometimes enjoy a rest stop, smell the flowers, and recharge.
What better way to do that than to meet a peer?
Or maybe even pass the time with a good book?
Think what you will about the internet, but I've found it a bottomless reserve of talented and selfless people who seek to do 'good deeds' in their travels ... and these are the folks I give SciFi ShoutOuts.
A few days back, I stumbled across Claire the Space Princess on the ol' Twittersphere where she was putting out feelers for Science Fiction and Fantasy authors wanting to get interviewed for publication on her own blog. Being a budding author as well as a blogger myself, I recognized exactly what she was up to, trying to not only aid others in building an audience but also nurturing her very own talent for reporting. I immediately jumped aboard the Claire-Train and encouraged her to let me know as these interviews go live so that I could do my part in pointing others her way.
Today's release is an interview with Fantasy author Marcus Lee whose Kings & Daemons is available for purchase on Amazon.com. It's the first book in a series -- The Gifted and The Cursed -- and readers are encouraged to check them out at your earliest convenience.
