I mean, seriously: how cool must it be to have been a part of not one but two of the biggest Science Fiction films of a generation? That's gotta be totally cool. Click the link and check out what else is in store for July 31st:
July 31 I'll see you in 24 hours! Don't kid yourselves, kidders: nothing says SciFi the same way Arnold Schwarzenegger's early film resume does. Granted, he's strayed into more conventional action films as of late, but hopefully he'll return to the genre that made him famous. And soon.
July 30 Have a terrific day, share and retweet today's entry often, and I'll see you in 24 hours! While doing some of my usual internet searching to come up with some material for today's date, I stumbled across a fan group who were actively discussing putting together a campaign to convince Hollywood that the time was (finally) ripe for a Krull reboot. Really? A Krull reboot? Was Krull really that good? It seems to me that, at best, Krull may've had one or two good ideas. Even at that, I said 'good,' not great. I can think of many other SciFi flicks of the 80's that I'd rather see rebooted than Krull ... which I'd rather give the boot!
July 29 Check it out. Read every word. You know where I'll be. I love playing that whole "Whose voice is this?" game when I'm watching movies, mostly because I suck so poorly at it I'm almost always in store for some huge surprises! Well, that face above might be my biggest surprise yet! You want to know who that is? Then you're going to have to follow the link to explore On This Day In Science Fiction History for July 28!
July 28 Have a terrific day! I'll see you soon. That's right! The Stargate franchise has been around for so long on television that folks sometimes forget that it must've had a beginning ... well, a beginning other than that big budget motion picture. You know the one? The flick with Kurt Russell? James Spader? Ringing any bells? Well, if it isn't, then today's On This Day In Science Fiction History is definitely for you!
July 27 Have yourself a wonderful day! You know where I'll be in twenty-four hours ... I, for one, can't even begin to imagine a Star Trek: Deep Space Nine without cast member Nana Visitor aboard, but did you know that's almost what producers delivered? That and more is waiting for you as part of today's On This Day In Science Fiction History as July 26 goes live.
July 26 Have yourself a wonderful day, and I'll see ya when I see ya. That's right! Cheap joke! Right there in the headlines! I said it! I ain't afraid to admit it! I know who Joey is! Anyway, congrats to everyone because we made it to another Friday. What might this day hold in the annals of Science Fiction? You're only one click away from finding out!
July 25 Have a terrific day ... and all you ComicCon people? Don't rub it in! I've made no bones about it: Joss Whedon's Serenity just wasn't for me. Yeah, I get that it was all visionary and stuff; it's just that I didn't care for that particular vision. However, I did enjoy the work of the cast, especially the young Summer Glau. Since that time, Glau has emerged as a frontrunner for the title of Most KickAss Female In Any Sci-Fi Property, and she deserves our undivided attention. Want to know more? Follow the link, my friends:
If you're a Sci-Fi fan, then you'll know full well what OCP stands for. Heck, you'll likely know the name of the metal behemoth lurking behind actor Ronny Cox!
July 23 Have yourself a wonderful day! Word on the web is that TNT not only renewed their alien invasion drama, Falling Skies, for its fifth season, but they also confirmed that it'll be the program's last. Get yourself caught up on it while you can, and don't forget to check out the link below as to what place the Sci-Fi show holds On This Day In Science Fiction History!
July 22 Good enough for me, so it's good enough for you! |
