I'd heard about this before -- that NBC Universal was developing yet another reboot of Battlestar Galactica; however, what I'd read was that it wasn't so much a 'reboot' as it was a continuation of the Syfy version (2005-2009) ... but how do you continue a series that had an effective ending, one which essentially saw its survivors living out their days in a primitive Earth?
In any event, some additional news dropped just yesterday via Deadline. It's basically just another blurb about how NBC Universal has something in-the-works, but haven't we been here before? Who knows what will come of this? Rather than experience another retooling, why not just give this franchise its time on the silver screen? To its credit, the Deadline article appears to imply that the property is now heading in the direction of a full reboot, and I find myself wondering if yet one more is even needed, at this point.
Am I the only fan who'd love a big screen adaptation?
As always, thanks for reading ... and live long and prosper!
