On this day in 2008 (in the U.S.), the big city of Los Angeles, California hosted the big studio premiere event for Babylon A.D. (Interesting enough, it was also enjoying a simultaneous theatrical release in France on the same day.) Written (in part) and directed by Mathieu Kassovitz, the film starred Vin Diesel, Michelle Yeoh, Charlotte Rampling, and others.
