WOOF!
Some days, my friends ... it's feast or famine ... feast or famine, I tell you ...
But today ... wowza. You smilers are in for a pretty sizeable treat as August 1st has an incredible 79 different trivia citations awaiting your discovery. There's a little bit of 'something something' in there for everyone, you know, and not just fans of Science Fiction, Fantasy, and Horror. I've worked very hard to centralize the focus on those quality items, but -- on occasion -- I'll stuff a little something different in there because I find it interesting enough to include. That doesn't always happen, but when it does I think it's something special. I hope you folks do, too, as I do this first because I love doing it and, second, because I think readers find something worth enjoying each and every day.
Might I just add? I'm still a bit bummed with the passing of Paul Reubens yesterday. I realize that he may not have been a big mover and shaker around these parts, but -- my God -- that guy was zany, wasn't he? He could make folks laugh with an almost effortless attempt whenever he was called upon to deliver the goods; and it's a shame that kind of talent can't be bottled and distributed across the acting talent spectrum. A bit of well-placed comedy makes everyone into a stronger performer -- if you ask me -- and I know I'm gonna miss that particular brand of lunacy in the days and years ahead.
Also, I've uncovered a strong handful of other movies citations I need to add to August 1st, so you might see some little tweaks here and there over the course of the day. I have a few projects around the house that need to get done today as well, so my time contributing to this space might be a bit limited. I think I've a few movies I need to review also, along with a few more in queue I need to watch that have been passed along via distributors and streamers. Sigh. A blogger's life is never done!
