On this day in 2001 (in the United States), Elvira's Haunted Hills enjoyed its big screen launch when it was screened for its first time for audiences of the International Rocky Horror Fan Convention. Directed by Sam Irvin from a story by star Cassandra Peterson and John Paragon, the film starred Peterson alongside Richard O'Brien, Mary Scheer, Heather Hopper, and others.
