On this day in 2006 (in Belgium and France), I'll Always Know What You Did Last Summer brought one more installment to one of Horror's less memorable franchises. Directed by Sylvain White from a story by Lois Duncan and Michael D. Weiss, the film starred Brooke Nevin, David Paetkau, Torrey DeVitto, and others.
According to our friends at IMDB.com, here's the plot summary:
"A group of teenagers in Colorado find themselves being stalked and killed one by one by a mysterious figure with a hook, exactly one year after they covered up a friend's accidental death."
According to Google.com:
"I'll Always Know What You Did Last Summer" (2006) was not a box office success. It was released direct-to-video, meaning it was not shown in theaters. The first two films in the franchise, "I Know What You Did Last Summer" (1997) and "I Still Know What You Did Last Summer" (1998), were theatrical releases and performed reasonably well at the box office, according to Wikipedia. However, the third film's direct-to-video release indicated a decline in popularity and interest in the franchise, according to a SlashFilm article.
