Lo and behold:
On this day in 1989 (in Canada and the U.S.), Pet Sematary took audiences on a trip into darkness. Directed by Mary Lambert from a story by Stephen King, the Horror/Fantasy starred Dale Midkiff, Denise Crosby, Fred Gwynne, Brad Greenquist, Michael Lombard, Miko Hughes, Blaze Berdahl, Susan Blommaert, Mara Clark, Kavi Raz, and others. It was produced by Paramount Pictures and Laurel Productions.

For the record:
Along with some positive praise from screenings on the film festival circuit, Pet Sematary received a nomination in the category of 'Best Horror Film' at the 1991 Saturn Awards.
