On this day in 1994 (in the U.S.), audiences knew it would take more than magic to end the reign of that dastardly li'l fellow when Leprechaun 2 enjoyed its theatrical release. Directed by Rodman Flender from a story by Mark Jones, Turi Meyer, and Alfredo Septién, the film starred Warwick Davis, Charlie Heath, Shevonne Durkin, and others.
According to our friends at IMDB.com, here's the plot summary:
"On his one thousandth birthday, an evil leprechaun selects the descendant of one of his slaves to have as his bride, leaving it up to the girl's boyfriend to save her."
For the record:
At the 1994 Fangoria Chainsaw Awards, Leprechaun 2 took home top honors in the category of 'Worst Film.'
