According to record, it was on this day in the United States of America (USA, USA, USA!) in the year 1992 that home audiences first 'saw double' with the broadcast television premiere of Duplicates.
Written by the team of Sandor Stern and Andrew Neiderman, Stern would go on to direct the SciFi/Thriller telefilm. Among its storied cast were such names as Gregory Harrison, Kim Greist, Cicely Tyson, Lane Smith, William Lucking, Scott Hoxby, Kevin McCarthy, John DeLay, Matt Williams, Timi Prulhiere, and others.
According to our friends at IMDB.com, here's the plot summary:
"When a woman sees her brother who was supposed to have with died along with her son, she naturally becomes suspicious. When he claims to be someone else, she isn't convinced. After tracing the home of the 'brother', she and her husband stumble upon a top secret project. They get too close to the truth and are therefore intercepted..."
Interestingly enough, it looks like the movie in its entirety is up for your viewing pleasure on YouTube.com. I'm posting it below should anyone be interested ...
