So many movies ... so little time ...
On this day in 1925 (in the U.S.), The Monster first roared on the silver screen. Directed by Roland West from a story by Crane Wilbur, Willard Mack, Albert Kenyon, C. Gardner Sullivan, and West himself, the film starred Lon Chaney, Gertrude Olmstead, Hallam Cooley, and others.
According to our friends at IMDB.com, here's the plot summary:
"A meek clerk who doubles as an amateur detective investigates some very strange goings-on at a remote mental sanitarium."
-- EZ
