It was on this day in the United States all the way back in the year 2019 that audiences of the South By Southwest Film Festival were treated to the first theatrical screening of Extra Ordinary.
According to IMDB.com, the film was directed by Mike Ahern and Enda Loughman. The script shows attributed to Ahern along with Demian Fox and Maeve Higgins. As for the talent? The cast included Higgins alongside such others as Barry Ward, Will Forte, Claudia O'Doherty, Jamie Beamish, Terri Chandler, Risteard Cooper, Emma Coleman, Carrie Crowley, Mary McEvoy, and others.
Here's the plot summary also provided by our friends at IMDB.com:
"Rose, a mostly sweet and lonely Irish driving instructor, must use her supernatural talents to save the daughter of Martin (also mostly sweet and lonely) from a washed-up rock star who is using her in a Satanic pact to reignite his fame."
It's also worth noting that Extra Ordinary enjoyed a good amount of praise from screenings on the film festival circuit and beyond. As this one looks very strongly reviewed, I might have to check it out. My hesitation is I see a lot of indications of 'slapstick humor,' and -- eeeek -- I'm just not a fan of most things slapstick.
