Monsters is one of those flicks that kinda/sorta came & went from theatres before anyone knew quite what to make of it (except the critics, of course). I didn't see in when it played in 2010 -- it opened on this day back then -- but I've subsequently seen it on home video, and I immediately went out and bought me a Blu-ray copy of it. It's a small film -- an almost 'quiet' film -- to have such a promising title; indeed, the monsters are rarely, if ever, seen in the film, but that's the beauty of its storytelling. It certainly isn't for everyone, but if you like your sci-fi with a definite human angle, you may want to check it out.
