On this day in 1995 (in the U.S.), that immortal bloodsucker returned to theaters -- this time in a comedy -- when Dracula: Dead And Loving It enjoyed its first theatrical release. Written (in part) and directed by Mel Brooks, the film starred Leslie Nielsen, Peter MacNicol, Amy Yasbeck, and others.
According to our friends at IMDB.com, here's the plot summary:
"Mel Brooks' parody of the classic vampire story and its famous film adaptations."
