On this day in 1944 (in the U.S.), the Mummy was back in the mummying business with the silver screen release of The Mummy's Curse from Universal Pictures. Directed by Leslie Goodwins from a story by Ted Richmond, Oliver Drake, Dwight V. Babcock, Leon Abrams, and Bernard Schubert, the film starred Lon Chaney Jr., Peter Coe, Virginia Christine, and others.
