On this day in 1984 (in the United Kingdom), a yuletide warning came dripping in blood when Don't Open Till Christmas enjoyed its first theatrical release. Directed by Edmund Purdom from a story by Alan Birkinshaw and Derek Ford, the film starred Purdom alongside Alan Lake, Belinda Mayne, Kelly Baker, and others.
According to our friends at IMDB.com, here's the plot summary:
"Somebody with very little Christmas spirit is killing anyone in a Santa suit one London holiday season, and Scotland Yard has to stop him before he makes his exploits an annual tradition."
