On this day in 2017 (in Norway), Thelma enjoyed its big screen debut when it was first screened for audiences of the Norwegian International Film Festival. Written (in part) and directed by Joachim Trier, the film starred Eili Harboe, Kaya Wilkins, Henrik Rafaelsen, and others.

"A confused religious girl tries to deny her feelings for a female friend who's in love with her. This causes her suppressed subconsciously-controlled psychokinetic powers to reemerge with devastating results."
For the record:
To the film's credit, Thelma received loads and loads of critical praise from professional organizations as well as from screenings on the film festival circuit.
