On this day in 1973 (in the U.S.), Tales That Witness Madness sent audiences on a journey through ... well ... the tales that witness madness, I guess. Directed by Freddie Francis from a story by Jennifer Jayne, the film starred Jack Hawkins, Donald Pleasence, Joan Collins, and others.
According to our friends at IMDB.com, here's the plot summary:
"A psychiatrist tells stories of four special cases to a colleague."
For the record:
At the 1975 Saturn Awards, Tales That Witness Madness received a nomination in the category of 'Best Horror Film.'
