On this day in 1925 (in Portugal), audiences were treated to one of the earliest attempts to bring H. Rider Haggard's immortal She to the silver screen. This version was adapted by screenwriters G.B Samuelson and Walter Summers. Leander De Cordova and Samuelson shared directing responsibilies. The film starred Betty Blythe, Carlyle Blackwell, Mary Odette, and others.
