On this day in 1970 (in Italy), someone's nuptials were a bit more violent than expected with the theatrical release of Hatchet For The Honeymoon. Written (in part) and directed by Mario Bava, the Giallo Horror starred Stephen Forsyth, Dagmar Lassander, Laura Betti, and others.
According to our friends at IMDB.com, here's the plot summary:
"A cleaver-wielding bridal designer murders various young brides-to-be in an attempt to unlock a repressed childhood trauma."
