From what I've read, actress Estelle Taylor -- publicly revered as one of the best-looking actresses of the silent era -- did enjoy a singular appearance in the realms of the Fantastic: in 1922, she played no less a vampiress named 'Gilda Fontaine' aboard A Fool There Was, a remake of a 1915 flick of the same name.
