On this day in 2018 (in France), audiences of the Cannes Film Festival were treated to the exclusive theatrical premiere of Fahrenheit 451. Ramin Bahrani both directed and adapted (in part) the Ray Bradbury novel for the project, and it starred Michael B. Jordan, Michael Shannon, Cindy Katz, and others. "In a terrifying care-free future, a young man, Guy Montag, whose job as a fireman is to burn all books, questions his actions after meeting a young woman - and begins to rebel against society."
