Wings Hauser was likely known more for his forays into some unconventional and/or cutting edge crime and dramatic stuff. I certainly knew his name from some releases back in the late 1980's and early 1990's -- an era wherein I think he was incredibly busy going from one set to the next -- but then he turned in work in far more mainstream outings than anything else. Regardless, genre fans might recognize him from time served aboard such properties as Mutant (1984), Airwolf, The Highwayman, Nightmare At Noon (1988), The Carpenter (1988), Space Rangers, Freddy's Nightmares, Pale Blood (1990), Beastmaster 2: Through The Portal Of Time (1991), Watchers III (1994), and Tales From The Hood (1995).
Alas, none of us lasts forever, and word reached the World Wide Web late yesterday of the man's passing.
Our warmest prayers are extended to the family, friends, and fan of Wings Hauser.
May he rest in peace.
