Word has reached the World Wide Web today regarding the passing of Belgian actress Émilie Dequenne.
Alas, hers is certainly not a name well known across genre fandom. Though I recognized it from somewhere, I couldn't exactly remember it. Heading over to the reliable IMDB.com, I did a bit of research and realized that it was from a werewolf-style period flick -- Brotherhood Of The Wolf -- from all the way back in 2001. (Going entirely from memory here, I think I found the flick middling, at beast, though interesting in a few spots.) By scrolling through her resume, I see a great deal of conventional stuff -- mysteries, thrillers, and dramas mostly -- but there's also a 2024 citation (I'd never heard of) titled Survive. I might have to do a bit of research on that one as it definitely looks to be among the realm of the Fantastic.
