On this day in 2003 (in Argentina) House Of 1000 Corpses enjoyed its theatrical unveiling when it was first screened for audiences of the Mar del Plata Film Festival. Written and directed by Rob Zombie, the film starred Sid Haig, Karen Black, Bill Moseley, and others.

At the end of the evening, only Haig and Black went home with trophies.
