Now, I'm not saying that's particularly good or bad for actor John Capodice. I've been told by many that acting -- as a professional -- is a brutal phenomenon that defies logic; and I've no reason to think that untrue. While I think it's grand that his face will always be known for something, I'll concede that -- ahem -- yeah, it might be a bit dubious being known for being on the receiving end of Jim Carrey's comic antics aboard Ace Ventura: Pet Detective (1994).
I'm not complaining because -- as goofy comedies go -- Pet Detective is one of my closet favorites. (I'm almost always a fan when zaniness goes all in, especially when performances get bigger than life.) Capodice no doubt had a great career, and he likely enjoyed some distinguished work here and there, a great deal I'm just not honestly aware of. I do recognize him from some genre stuff; and I'm thankful that he got the chance to dabble in the realms of the Fantastic. I wish that for every Tom, Dick, or Harry to be honest, so good for him.
Our warmest prayers are extended to the family, friends, and fans of John Capodice.
May he forever rest in peace.
